Start a discussionParsing quality depends on the photo. Fill the frame with the receipt, avoid glare and creases, and keep the total in shot. Every parsed field stays editable before you save, so you can correct anything the model got wrong. If a particular receipt format fails consistently, send it to us — that is exactly the feedback that improves the parser.
Check the card’s rules first: most mismatches come from a spend cap that has been reached, a category the merchant is not actually coded as, or a foreign-currency transaction where the bank’s posted amount differs from the market rate. The app has a separate field for the amount your bank actually charged — filling that in resolves most exchange-rate discrepancies.
Confirm both devices are signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled, and that iCloud sync is switched on in the app’s Settings. Changing that setting requires a full restart of the app — quit it from the app switcher rather than just backgrounding it.
Settings offers CSV export for both transactions and cards. Your data is stored locally, so a device backup — iCloud or encrypted local backup — also preserves it.
There is no server-side trash to restore from, because there is no server. Restoring from an iCloud or device backup is the only route. Exporting to CSV periodically is worth the ten seconds.
